You might think that only some people possess the skill to be creative. However, many people around the world forget that creativity is learnable and transferable skill that is usually grown during processes. Creativity comes in different shapes and even though you are not Isaac Newton or Pablo Picasso, it doesn’t mean that you can’t be innovative at solving problems. There are many ways of developing your creativity. After all, everyone likes when people tell them “Hey, how come I didn’t think about this?”.

Whether you’re solving a business plan, math problem, fixing bug in a backend code or just have the “artist’s blockage”, creativity is your power tool with which to figure a solution. Below are some creative geniuses that have shared their knowledge on how to be creative.

In this article, Salvador Dali, whose work is often attributed to the influence of Renaissance painters, says that it's important to relax and quiet your mind and body when trying to produce something extraordinary and original. Moreover, you need to push away the challenges and obstacles that you normally think about when tackling a problem.

“You have to systematically create confusion, it sets creativity free. Everything that is contradictory creates life” - Salvador Dali

Albert Einstein and his “combinatory play”. People often get surprised when they hear that one of the most famous physicist is also one of the most creative ones. Einstein was also amateur violinist and pianist. It’s known that some of his physics ideas come to light due to his musical background. Einstein used to see his problems from different angles and try to mash up various ideas and concepts. Then he visualised this puzzle pieces and rearrange them to come up with a breakthrough. He called this process “combinatory play”.
