Albert Einstein and his “combinatory play”. People often get surprised when they hear that one of the most famous physicist is also one of the most creative ones. Einstein was also amateur violinist and pianist. It’s known that some of his physics ideas come to light due to his musical background. Einstein used to see his problems from different angles and try to mash up various ideas and concepts. Then he visualised this puzzle pieces and rearrange them to come up with a breakthrough. He called this process “combinatory play”.
