Camp Golden Gate is an American international summer camp for teenagers aged 14 -18. The learning curriculum is 3 hours per day, combined with afternoon activities that are designed to develop both the mind and body. These include sports, arts and crafts, photography, cooking classes, beach sports activities and more. In the evening, there is a range of pursuits which will increase leadership and networking skills, while enhancing a student's capacity to work with a diverse set of individuals. This is all aimed at enabling a student to become a leader of the future. Camp Golden Gate will focus on the underlying values of optimism, and the perseverance of ideas through complex and challenging tasks. Students will learn the acceptance of failure and are encouraged to develop a willingness to try alternatives, demonstrating that collaboration yields the best outcomes.
Sending a teenager away for three weeks is an important decision for both the parents and the student, and not one to be taken lightly. One of the most prominent advantages that Camp Golden Gate has above all of the other summer camps in the USA is that it breaks the distance barrier of you sending your children far away and paying out thousands of dollars for that privilege. With us, your teenager will still get to be part of the ultimate American camp experience.
Located in Europe, we are situated beside the Black Sea, and we are proud of our exceptionally high standards. Our goal is to deliver the same American summer camp model to your teenager at a price you can afford, and at a distance you are more than comfortable with.
Camp Golden Gate is a safe environment, filled with positive encouragement to allow a student to endure setbacks, try new things, and see from themselves first hand that improvements and new experiences come about when you conquer something for the first time!
Camp Golden Gate will help a student to build self-confidence and self-esteem by removing the academic, athletic, and social competition that shapes their lives at school. We run a range of non-competitive activities and provide diverse opportunities for individuals to succeed: there are accomplishments every day.
At Camp Golden Gate, our students learn to value all of their skills. We turn-off the tech to enable a student to connect, and rediscover their creative powers. There is a huge amount of importance placed upon how to engage in the real world, with real people, through real activities, with real emotions.
Camp Golden Gate is the perfect place for individuals to practice making decisions for themselves without parents and teachers guiding their every move. Managing and making daily choices in the safe and caring environment of the camp is something that our students have and is always welcomed. This approach gives them the freedom to try new things without any extreme risks or repercussions.
Camp Golden Gate will provide the right instructions, equipment and facilities for students to enhance their sports abilities, artistic talents, and their adventure skills. The sheer variety of activities offered at the camp makes it easy for a student to discover and develop what they like to do. We always give a student the independence to choose for themselves.
Camp Golden Gate is a place where people make their very best friends. Free from the social expectations which can pressure or influence them at school, the camp encourages relaxation, making it easy for people to make new connections. The energy and fun we create keeps everyone in sync— singing, laughing, talking, playing, doing almost everything together, as one happy, summer camp family.
You might wonder why we chose our name “Camp Golden Gate.” The answer is simple. Golden Gate is an icon of strength and diversity. In a poetic way, Camp Golden Gate hopes to be the connecting path for hundreds of teenagers. To nurture their independence and self-esteem, we promote confidence through a wide range of skills development and allow all of our campers to experience the thrill of accomplishment through group and self-discovery.
Some students adjust quite quickly, and for others, it takes a little more encouragement for them to integrate. There are a lot of people, particularly younger ones, for whom it is the first time away from the care of their parents. At Camp Golden Gate we always put the individual's needs first. This camp is all about The Camper! We help those who are a little shy, to begin with, and we have plenty of tried and tested ways to ensure that each individual has the time of their lives with us over the summer, making new friends as they each build up their skill sets.
